It has certainly been a couple of busy weeks for us. All of our older kittens have now found new homes as have 2 of Triannas babies. That just leaves us with 2 of Triannas, which I have on hold as we have 2 people coming to see them this week. I've updated the kittens page with the new details and will update it again at the end of the week.
Utopia has now been neutered, and is now available for re-homing as a family pet. She is a lovely natured girl who is very affectionate, and loves being around people so I am sure she will settle easily into a family home. Her details are on our Bengal Rehome page.
Our new F1 girl, AWildDream Oracle, is settling in well. This is a new experience for us. We have two Asian Leopard Cats, but have never had an F1 before. It is so interesting to watch her and see the mixture of wild and domestic cat in her.
Sorry there hasn't been any movement on the kitten cams. We have been busy decorating, and I haven't had time to move kittens around, but will move Trianna's kittens into kitten room 1 (KittenCam 1) as soon as possible. Kitten room 2 will be empty for a while as we have no other litters at the moment, and KittenCam2 will be switched off whilst the room is being used as a bedroom.
Health Checks
We have had all of our active boys scanned for HCM, and they all passed with flying colours. Although now retired, we included Ivan when testing as he is sire and grandsire to some of our girls. He is over 6 years old and we are please to say that the cardiologist said he had a really healthy heart.
We will be scanning the girls next: the youngsters when they are old enough, and the older girls once they are resting from their kittens.
We have also gene tested for PKDef, and will continue to test any new cats coming into the cattery. All of our current breeding cats are negative, though two of our youngsters are carriers. When the youngsters are old enough we will breed them to a 'normal' mate, and any kittens that are to go for breeding will be gene tested before sale is confirmed.
Eriador Cats
We are members of TICA (The International Cat Association), the Bengal Cat Club of Great Britain and The International Bengal Cat Society (TIBCS).
