Kitten Cam

Lots of kitties on the cam at the moment - Euphoria's boy, and both Jane's and Olga's litters. None of these wanted to wean, and it has been a bit of a struggle, so they are looking underweight. But we will be giving them lots of cuddles and food that they like, and hope to soon see them putting on weight again.

News

What a thrill we had today - to see our website as 'Website of the Month' in Cat World magazine.

Eriador Nijinsky We have decided to keep Polly's lovely rosetted boy (Eriador Nijinsky). We originally thought he would be suitable as a pet, but as he has grown he has developed the most gorgeous colour and rosettes, so he is staying with us and he will take over from his sire (Eriador Thunderball).

Eriador Eureka Euphoria's little boy (now named Eureka) is growing into a beautiful boy. He is going to stay with us for a while. I don't want to lose this line, and Eureka is the only kitten from this line that I have at present. Hopefully Euphoria will give me a girl next time, in which case Eureka will be made available, as I really don't need another stud at the moment.

Re-homing and Retirements

As we are keeping kittens from this year's litters, we will be retiring or re-homing some of our adults over the coming months. The first to be retired are:

Vasha (Purebliss Naivasha) and Prince (A1Savannahs Prince Made), are going to Giradelle.

Frodo (StarwindsUK Frodo) and Love Me (Outlaws Love Me) are both being neutered this week, and when they are ready, we will try to find them loving pet homes.

Eriador Thunderball will stay a short while until his son has grown a bit more. He will then be available to go to another breeder as an active/proven stud, or we will neuter him and find him a pet home. Thunderball is the stud who gives us our whited tummy kittens, with strong black outlined rosettes.

Goldie (Purebliss HintofGold) is a beautiful brown spotted Savannah girl, with a stunning head. She has only had one litter with us (pictures on the kittens page). I hate to part with her, but we must reduce the number of cats we have, so Goldie is looking for a new home. She is available as an active queen to anyone interested in breeding Savannahs.

Kittens and Holidays

You may be considering buying a kitten over the next couple of months, but are putting it off because you have holidays booked. Most people don't want to put their new kitten into a cattery when they go away, unless they can find somewhere the kitten will be kept happy and healthy.

If you are buying a kitten from us, we will either keep the kitten here and delay the re-homing date whilst you are on holiday, or if you want to take it home, you can bring it back to us to look after whilst you are on holiday.

Eriador Cats

We are members of TICA (The International Cat Association), the Bengal Cat Club of Great Britain, The International Bengal Cat Society (TIBCS) and The Blue Bengal Group.

Andrew is Membership Secretary, and I am Treasurer of the new Savannah cat club: SavyCats UK. If you are a Savannah owner or breeder, or just love Savannahs, then why don't you join the club? Details are on http://www.savycatsuk.co.uk/.
