Webcam Unfortunately we have problems with our internet connection at the moment and it is up and down during the day, and running at very slow speeds. So I suspect the webcam will either not respond or will be very slow. However, you aren’t missing much at present. The kitten room gets too hot in the afternoons in the warm weather we are having at the moment. So we move the kittens outside where they can enjoy the breeze and a bit of shade. So the room is empty for the time being, and there is nothing to see. But keep checking – we are installing a reflective coating on the windows to keep the kitten room cool in the summer, and hopefully our internet connection will soon be fixed. Other News Spy did really well at her first show in Oh dear – I had made a mistake on Ria’s pedigree page, and it has been like it for ages. I have now had a tidy up of the pedigrees as well as correcting that one. Polly has had her baby – one beautiful baby, who looks very promising. Adult Bengals Available
She
is a bit on the shy side, so shouldn’t go to a house that is too busy or
noisy. She is really affectionate when
she gets to know you, and has a gentle and loving nature. She
gets on well with other cats. Cherry
(Eriador Cherokee): Cherry is brown
spotted, and she has the most wonderful purrsonality – she is cheeky, and a
really loving cat, who loves people and is happy with other animals. I suspect Cherry will just waltz into her
new home and just say ‘I’m here’.
Cherry had an accident last year, and injured one paw. She has had it checked by the vet, who says
it has healed completely – but there is a possibility that she may suffer
with arthritis in that foot when she is older. Harry (ALC Poespoes Meis Harry) x Penny (Eriador Moneypenny) Penny is pregnant again – so we now have all of our fingers and toes crossed, that she goes full-term. Niels new website is now live on www.poespoes.com. Bengals and the Asian Leopard Cat With the Bengal coming from a cross between the domestic cat and the Asian Leopard Cat (ALC), it would be very easy for the breed to inherit the problems there are in some cat and dog breeds as a result of too much in-breeding. Luckily with the Bengal, there have been numerous ALC’s used in the creation of the breed over the years, and even now, new lines of ALC’s are being introduced. We have been tracking the ancestors of our cats from the day we started breeding, and gradually introduced new ALC lines into our cats. For those of you who are interested, and buy one of our kittens, I will provide a list of their ancestors, going back to their ALCs. The ALC’s in the lines of our cats include, Abu, Art Deco, Baghara (Sergura) Khan, Bonzai, Feliz, Kabuki, Kubla Khan, Maia Wild Heritage (Centerwall ALC), Phantom, Rajah Singh, Stoney (Hatfield ALC), Tariq, and Taro. About Eriador Bengals We are on the outskirts of Pinchbeck,
near Spalding, in South Lin
Our Bengals are much loved pets, as well
as giving us beautiful babies. Our girls have their babies in our
bedroom, where it is warm, quiet and safe.
We spend lots of time with our babies –
giving them cuddles and love, and introducing them to our visitors, so that
they are used to people, and to all the normal household noises. And our girls retire early – we don’t
like to let our girls have too many litters, and want them to have a long and
happy life as a much loved pet, so we often have neutered girls available for
re-homing. We love having visitors to see our cats,
and welcome anyone who wants to see them, whether or not they are interested
in buying a Bengal. We are members of TICA (The International
Cat Association), the Bengal Cat Club of Great Britain and The International
Bengal Cat Society (TIBCS), and The Blue Bengal Group. Bengal Cats, Bengal Cats, Bengal Cats, Bengal Cats, Bengal Kittens,
